Ideal Protein and Blood Sugar Imbalance

A Health Question Posed About Blood Sugar Imbalances and the Ideal Protein diet

Blood Sugar Imbalances are becoming a prevalent concern in our world and it has a lot to to with the way we eat. We may hear the doctors say "You have developed a type 1 or type 2 Blood Sugar Imbalance".. But there is some good news; you can help keep Blood Sugar Imbalances at bay by eating healthy! One of the many questions asked when someone is starting the Ideal Protein Diet is; if they have a Blood Sugar Imbalance can they participate in the diet? The answer is YES!, type 2 Blood Sugar Imbalanced people can participate in the diet through the Alternative protocol, type one however cannot.

This means that you will have a diet plan that is specifically tailored to your needs as a type 2 Blood Sugar Imbalance. Those with type 2 Blood Sugar Imbalances, may find that once on the diet the medications needed could be reduced or even in some cases no medication is needed after the program has been completed! Ideal Protein is in no way a cure for Blood Sugar Imbalance, however, it has been proven that if you eat right you may reduce your chances of developing a Blood Sugar Imbalance. The Ideal Protein diet is a great way to start eating healthy again! It provides the ability for people to change their eating life style and have a healthier body!

Check out this link to better understand what I mean by "healthier life style". www.diabetes.org

Do you have type 2 Blood Sugar Imbalance? Have you gained weight and want to lose it only to find out that most diets exclude people with Blood Sugar Imbalances? Why do you think diets are not safe to people with Blood Sugar Imbalances?

I invite you to share questions and concerns related to the above topic. I will answer what I can and if I do not know I will find out.

New Ideal Protein Food UPDATE

New Food for Ideal Protein

We have two new foods in stock here at revitalize!

  • Chocolate Pudding (Pre-Made)
  • Orange Wafers

The Chocolate Pudding can be a meal replacement and it is not a restrictor. Do you have a busy life style? This pre-made food can easily provide the meal you need, when you need it!

The Orange Wafer is unlike any of the Ideal Protein foods I have ever tasted! It has a profound citrus flavor with very little or no after taste (conclusion based on my pallet), providing relief for those pesky cravings for sweets.

I would love to hear your thoughts on the Chocolate Pudding and the Orange Wafers. Have you tried them yet?

Ideal Protein: Not losing weight

Dieters,
Having a Stall in Your Weight Loss?

Diet sodas are discouraged during the Ideal Protein Weight Loss Method, as many overweight people are “addicted” to sweets. If that is not curbed during Phase 1, the addiction may carry over into the Maintenance Phase and contribute to later indulgences and a tendency to YoYo diet. Dieters, who before dieting used to drink a lot of soda, should try to limit intake of sugar-free/carb-free drinks to two per day. Drinking water flavored with Flavored Stevia drops (i.e. Watermelon, Lemon, Root Beer, Cherry, + 20 more) can reduce the craving for sweets and one day, the dieter may be able to completely stop consumption of carbonated beverages.

Crystal Light is a better choice than diet soda, but not as good a choice as Flavored Stevia or green tea beverages. Keep in mind that even diet drinks contain preservatives, flavorings and other questionable artificial ingredients.

There are several other reasons why you may "stall" in your weight loss. Chewing gum fits in this category. It is legal to put 0 carbs even if the gum contains .9 carbs, so 20 sticks of gum can really rack up the carbs. Many gums contain sugars, carbs, or sugar alcohols that can kick you out of ketosis. Using Splenda more than twice a day, may also slow weight loss. So, if your weight loss has decreased, you feel crummy, and yet you have been following the Ideal Protein Weight Loss plan your coach and you agreed on, maybe it is time to look at what "extras" you are having that are not part of the program.

The emotional aspect of losing weight is also a big factor. Feelings of hopelessness from perceived “past failures” may make it difficult for you to remain committed to your plan. The coaches at Revitalize! are dedicated to coaching you through any low points or struggles you may be experiencing, so be sure to share these with your Coach. You’ll be glad you did! Feel free to comment on what you have done to get past your weight loss stall, how you dealt with emotional barriers, or if you are having any of these problems. I look forward to your comments!

Ideal Protein: Before and After

Dieters,

When you are going through the phases of the Ideal Protein Diet you can measure your success by remembering what you looked and felt like before you were living healthier. I till this day look at my drivers license photo and remind myself that I do not want to go back down that road again. I know what it will cost me to live like that and I have already gone through the emotional toils of re-training my body.

It took me a lot of discipline and willpower to change my life. Now I can eat and not feel like I am going to regret it down the road. For instance when I do snack I make sure to eat healthy snacks, such as vegetables and if I have to have something crunchy I eat small portions of Lundburg rice chips, Snikiddy "eat you vegetable" chips. They are wheat free and gluten free. Remember once you are off the diet you can eat. We all just have to get into the mentality of eating to live and not living to eat. Vist us at: Our Site

Ideal Protein: Do's and Don'ts

When choosing sugarless gum, be careful. Sugarless gums can have .9 g of sugar and still list “0” on the label. Chewing a few sticks each day won’t have an impact on weight loss. However chewing numerous sticks can really add up and throw you out of ketosis. Stevita, Spry, and Peelu are a few gums that may be considered Ideal Protein friendly.

Also be careful of spices you use. Spices containing MSG or components of MSG are not allowed. Some spices may have carbs in them as well. Spices with 0 carbs are preferred. Ones containing one or two carbs may be used every other day or in half-servings.

Also keep in mind that you need to keep yourself hydrated. Drink water as much as possible, and when you are done drinking water drink more water. This will help keep you from having issues.

Walden Farms, Miracle Noodles, Zero Carb bread and WildTree (carried by Revitalize Organic Store) are Ideal Protein friendly products. Visit Our site for more information. Join Our Blogging Community
